Which employers hire veterans into medical sales?

271 live medical sales postings at 26 employers name transitioning military as a background they will take. That is 4% of 7,630 postings with a description. The employers are named below, most first, with the industries and call points the roles are in.

What is counted

The posting names transitioning or separated service members, junior military officers, a military pathway or program, military experience or service as a qualification, or a comparable invitation, anywhere in its text. Equal-opportunity and protected-veteran statements are excluded sentence by sentence, so a posting counts only for an invitation of its own.

A posting is counted only when its own text names the background as an accepted or invited route into the role. An employer that hires from it without saying so is not counted, so absence here is not evidence of anything. Of the 271 postings, 66 state an overall experience requirement of one year or less.

Reading a posting that names military experience

The sentence to look for is an invitation, not a policy line. "Transitioning military encouraged to apply", a named military hiring program, or military service listed beside B2B sales as an accepted background is what this page counts. The equal-opportunity paragraph every US posting carries, which lists protected veterans among many groups, is deliberately not counted — it is there by law, and says nothing about whether the hiring manager wants a veteran.

Where a posting names military experience it usually names it as an alternative to field sales experience, which is the thing a first territory role otherwise asks for. That is the practical value of this list: these are the employers where a service record answers the "one to two years of outside sales" line rather than failing it.

Where to start

Read the break-in guide for the six job titles that mean "no field experience needed", then search the employers above by name on the board. The career changers report carries the other three backgrounds beside this one.

Method

US medical sales postings live on the board that carry a job description, excluding non-promotional field roles such as Field Reimbursement Manager. A posting with no description cannot name a background and is left out of the denominator rather than counted as naming none.

A posting is counted under a background when its own text names that background as an accepted or invited route into the role, with no unwaived mandatory medical-sales requirement blocking that route. Other credentials and experience conditions still apply. An employer that hires from a background without saying so in the posting is not counted, so absence is not evidence of anything.

An employer is listed under a background once at least the stated minimum number of its postings name it. The share beside it is of that employer's postings in the population, and is a description of how they write their advertisements rather than of who they hire.

One background from the career changers report, which covers all four. 4% of the population names this background. Counted on September 22, 2026. The board is rewritten twice a day, so this is a snapshot. Cite the date with the number.

Quick answers

Does military-friendly mean no sales experience is required?

No. A posting that accepts military experience can also require sales results, education, a license or knowledge of a particular product. This page identifies military backgrounds stated in applicant qualifications, rather than treating an equal-opportunity statement as a qualification. Where a posting does not identify an accepted background, the answer remains unknown. Check the linked employer posting for its full combination of requirements.
