Your Role at Vizient:
Vizient offers Data and Digital solutions that enable health system provider clients understand market drivers and trends impacting the business. That same data is also valuable to non-provider companies in Life Sciences particularly MedTech and BioPharma organizations.
As Principal LSI Account Manager, you will manage customer success across an assigned portfolio of Vizient Life Sciences Strategy Intelligence (EDGE) and analytics (Operational Data Base) subscriptions and memberships. You will translate hospital/healthcare provider intelligence and analytics into actionable implications for Life Sciences customers, helping them apply insights into commercial strategy, market access, evidence generation and provider engagement. You will drive adoption, demonstrate value and manage renewal readiness and execution in partnership with subject matter experts.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop trusted relationships with executive sponsors, commercial, strategy, market access, medical affairs and evidence-generation leaders, as well as analytical users and internal champions.
Translate Vizient strategic provider intelligence into implications for each customer’s products and priorities. Interpret provider economics, IDN decision-making, site-of-care shifts, procedure forecasts, and adoption barriers to inform targeting, value propositions, evidence needs and commercial decisions.
Develop and execute annual customer success plans and define priority use cases, stakeholder responsibilities, engagement milestones and evidence of value.
Lead executive value reviews that show how intelligence and analytics inform customer decisions and workflows.
Coordinate onboarding, training, and ongoing adoption. For EDGE, connect members with relevant insights, webinars, conferences, and executive forums. For Operational Database (ODB), engage analytical users and experts to establish appropriate use cases and recurring applications.
Monitor adoption, sponsor engagement, and account health; intervene early when use of value declines. Broaden stakeholder relationships and maintain continuity through customer personnel changes.
Manage the renewal process and coordinate on-time execution with contracting, finance and legal.
Identify service and renewal risks, coordinate recovery plans, and maintain accurate renewal revenue tracking and forecasts. Document value evidence and adoption progress alongside retention outcomes.
Identify and qualify opportunities for additional subscription use, users, or offerings and Life Sciences Advisory engagements. Partner with business development on pursuit and with Delivery/product experts on feasibility.
Provide structured voice-of-the-customer feedback to product, marketing, and BD/Advisory leaders on unmet needs, usability, new analytical applications, and emerging workflows.
Contribute reusable onboarding materials, success plans, and value-review approaches. Prioritize customer engagement by agreed service tiers, renewal timing and risk across the BD-Delivery teams.
Expected travel up to 50%.
Your Location:
The role is a field-based role from any US based location.
What You’ll Bring:
Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
10 or more years of relevant experience in life sciences strategy, consulting, customer success, strategic account management, commercial insights, or healthcare analytics required.
Experience managing complex customer relationships and building strategic partnerships with senior executives required; demonstrated contribution to retention, revenue growth, or customer value required.
Strong understanding of life sciences buyer priorities and commercial decision-making required, including experience with medtech and/or biopharma customers.
Working knowledge of provider and IDN priorities, economics, decision-making, and adoption processes preferred. Ability to translate provider intelligence into life sciences implications required.
Experience interpreting market data and facilitating decisions that lead to actionable customer decisions required. Familiarity with Vizient Strategy intelligence and analytics is a plus; willingness and ability to develop offering-specific expertise required.
Experience with subscription or membership onboarding, adoption, renewals and customer success planning preferred.
Strong planning, follow-through, risk management, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to influence cross-functional colleagues without direct authority and manage multiple accounts concurrently.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet customers' needs and business requirements.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.
