Eli Lilly lists this role in Indianapolis, IN.

Stated in the posting

At Lilly, the work is demanding because patients are waiting. We unite caring with discovery to help make life better for people around the world, knowing that every decision, every detail, and every day matters. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, our over 50,000 employees around the globe take on complex challenges to discover and deliver life-changing medicines, strengthen how health is understood and managed, and support the communities we serve. This is hard, urgent, selfless work—but it’s work worth doing. If you’re driven by purpose and ready to bring your best to work that truly matters for patients, we invite you to join us.

Purpose:

The demand for high quality health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) to support drug development, health technology assessment/access decisions, product differentiation, and clinical decision making continues to increase. The purpose of the LVA Health Outcomes and Medical Engagement (HOME) team is to accelerate equitable patient access and transform healthcare delivery through the execution and communication of bold, high impact science. We are looking for talented, energetic, creative, diverse, influential, and collaborative team members to join our team.

The Health Outcomes Liaison (HOL) embodies this purpose by serving as the medical and HEOR interface between Lilly and population-based decision makers (PBDMs) including payers, health systems, research institutions, and policy makers in the United States. The HOL role answers customer questions with clinical evidence, HEOR, and RWE to support formulary access and pathways/guidelines decisions impacting millions of patients. The HOL is acutely attuned to therapeutic evidence gaps, understands environmental trends, and anticipates stakeholder evidence needs. The HOL also works cross-functionally to provide external insights to influence strategy- particularly the HEOR/RWE research agenda. The HOL role is a key component of meeting customer needs and improving patient outcomes for Lilly.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director - HOL role is dynamic given the complex and ever-changing US healthcare system, continuous innovation in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, and advances in health information technology and real-world data. This is especially true of some of the largest and most influential payer and system accounts in the US. Our HOL senior directors are the field medical and HEOR point of contact for these stakeholders, providing evidentiary support while also enabling collaborations that improve patient outcomes, accelerate equitable patient access, and transform healthcare delivery. In addition, the HOL senior directors play a pivotal role in shaping our research plans, championing the voice of the customer to influence strategic choices, and overall leadership across the team and organization. In all circumstances it is incumbent upon the HOL senior director to conduct their activities in compliance with relevant procedures and from a medical perspective independent of commercial influence.
