The Area Sales Director (ASD) will focus appropriately on advancing the Arcutis’ dermatology products. The role leads a team of Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), who in turn lead teams consisting of Therapeutic Sales Specialists and Overlay Therapeutic Sales Specialists. These teams are dedicated to success within the dermatology business and driving sales of the Arcutis’ dermatology products to maximize business opportunities, and they work collaboratively with other key functions within the dermatology business.

Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
Share best practices with direct reports, peers and HQ.
Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
Provides input to Marketing and Senior Leadership on market trends, competition, and field sales execution to analyze, direct and review product offerings, competition and market strategies and programs. Gather insights from RSDs and O/TSS while maintaining consistent field presence.
Assist in developing local thought leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
Provide direction to the RSDs and O/TSS on the marketing, allocating, monitoring and leveraging of internal/external resources (e.g., discretionary spend).
Other duties that may be assigned.
Must live in area and near a major airport strongly preferred. The Northeast Area covers the following states – Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Education & Licenses and Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
10+ yrs. specialty therapeutic sales management experience in the dermatology specialty preferred.
History of successful sales and leadership performance.
Strong knowledge of market and patient access landscape.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
Ability to travel 50% of the time. Occasional weekend conference or meeting travel.
Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Expertise in all respects of selling, i.e. technical knowledge, selling techniques, interpreting/analyzing data, and an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to understand, analyze and effectively communicate scientific/technical business information, through understanding of applicable pharmaceutical marketing and sales regulations, guidelines, and policies
Ability to navigate complex people management issues, with deep expertise in coaching, mentoring and motivating teams, ensuring retention and development of Regional Sales Directors and Therapeutic Sales Specialists.
Effectively manage large projects and work in close partnership within cross-functional teams.
